Being a self-taught knitter and yarn dyer, it had always been a dream to be able to bring the LYS (local yarn store) experience to others in the UAE. Yarn Souq is a step closer towards this dream.
Showcasing yarn and knitting and crochet accessories at the fortnightly ARTE Markets has helped us establish ourselves as the go-to LYS not just to buy yarn but to ask for advise on the best yarn options, yardage requirements, even pattern ideas.
Anyone can try to sell yarn, but it takes another knitter to be able to cater to a fellow knitter’s needs. Who better to understand that buying yarn and using them are two completely different things!
The ultimate dream is to have a brick and mortar store in a fashionable yet accessible location in Dubai where knitters and crocheters make a regular pilgrimage even if it’s just to sit on the cozy knitter’s corner and work on their WIPs.
